Vegas and windows, docking, etc

This is just a quick question/request about the way the various windows operate within Vegas. I don't know how everyone else likes to work, but I tend to undock all the various windows (mixer, trimmer, media pool, etc), close them and then maximise the track view, dragging it all the way down to the bottom of the screen. Then, when I want to use, say, the mixer, I hit alt+F3 to bring it up.

This, though, can be a bit of a pain when you're frequently switching between different windows. My suggestion is for each window to be able to be minimised to the bottom of the screen - rather than just closed - so it's then very easy and quick to pull it back up again. This would be similar to the way the Spectrum Analyser and CD Architect (hehe) work in Sound Forge. Dunno what everyone else reckons...

One more quick question for SoFo - what happened in VV3 to the mono monitoring button in the mixer window? Was very useful.

Hi GG - that's a fair enough point. At the same time, surely it would be quite easy to implement minimize-able windows, without impacting at all on other ways people like to work? I'm sure I can't be the only one who wouldn't mind seeing this.

Try F11, Shift-F11, and Ctrl-F11.

Thanks Peter - I'd missed that one. It's not quite what I was after, though it's pretty helpful. Any ideas on what happened to the mono monitoring button by the way?
