It seems to me that Vegas 2.0 is having trouble deciding on where the cursor position is... when I arm a track to record, it almost always plays back audio events that are from a different cursor position.
For example, I'll record an audio event, then get ready to lay down an accompanying track with it. I'll reset the cursor to near the beginning of the first event, but when I play back or record the next track, Vegas plays back audio from a later time- stopping playback and re-setting the cursor position again has no effect; when I restart playback, it continues playing where it left off, as if I'd only paused playback for a moment. The cursor shows on the screen where I want to put it, but the audio event is obviously being played back from later on. It doesn't mis-align the audio events- I'll have 10 channels of drums, for example, in perfect synch- it'll just start from half-way thru the song and not let me go back to the begging to lay down the guitar tracks. It continues playing from the point I stopped it, regardless of where the cursor appears on-screen. The rewind to beginning button has no effect- the cursor returns to zero, but playback is still started from the wrong spot.
I believe I'm on version d, and will try upgrading tonight. If this is a deeper problem, please let me know.
