Vegas Audio bug - Apply non realtime fx at 24bit mono

Can anyone apply a non realtime fx in Vegas at 24 bit mono?I tried with Acoustic Mirror and RBC voice tweaker and got what sounds like static.I tried 16 bit mono/stereo and 24 bit stereo and it worked.Its just that most of my tracks are 24 bit mono.
Mix to new track works, I just prefer to have the takes stacked on top of each other(So I can A/B processed-unprocessed quickly).

Hello..Anyone at SF test this?
I emailed tech support and recieve no reply,usually SF tech support is quick.
