Vegas Audio / Sound Forge Info

Please excuse me if I'm asking for a rehash of posts that
may be buried in the forum somewhere -- I'm new here.
I recently downloaded a trial of Vegas Audio and I'm liking
it. I own SoundForgeXP v4.0 but must confess that I haven't
used it much. I have been primarily editing my video with a
Media100XS and using SoundEdit for basic audio work (VO
editing mostly) -- Yeh I'm a Machead.
I am now working for a company that uses only PC's (Win NT
4.0 servicepak 6). I'm needing a good audio package that
will allow me to do multitrack recording and sync to
quicktime video. Sound like Vegas Audio is what I need and
it's pretty simple to use.
My question is how would one use Vegas Audio and Sound
Forge as complimentary products? Doesn't Vegas do
everything SoundForge will do? Also, since I'm using Win NT
are there any other limitations with using Vegas other that
the DirectX 6 vs. 8 situation that I've read about? I plan
on continuing to edit my video on the Media100 so is Vega
Audio the package I'm looking for? And lastly, should I
upgrade my SoundForge?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. I'm
looking forward to reading your replys. Hopefully planning
to purchase this week. Peace
MS
