I rendered an short AVI last night, using a Movie Looks preset and nothing else that crashes Windows Media Player 9 everytime I try to view it. Even stranger, if I even click on the AVI in Windows Explorer, Explorer crashes! I suspect I having a codec issue or OS issue, but has anyone seen anything like this?
windows media player 9 also - being the crap it is , may have its own issues, but it shouldn't crash explorer except if on the odd chance its a corrupted file.. ...
DV format, 720x480, Vegas rendered. None of my other renders is doing this, but this particular one does everytime, like clockwork. It also crashed Explorer if I click on the file. Really strange. The file named in the error is mpeg2x.dll or something (not at the computer right now to look).
I borught the rendered AVI into Vegas and rendered it again from the timeline and the new file exhibits the same behavior.
