Well, the topic says it all... In my project I'm working in
Premiere 6 beta, and since Premiere's DV export to tape is
slow and choppy on my system, I wanted to try using Vegas
Capture to print my work out to the Sony Digital8 camcorder
through my OHCI Firewire card.
So if I export from Premiere 6 an AVI DV file and then load
it into Vegas Capture and try to print it to tape, Vegas
Capture crashes on me. But if I open the AVI file in
VirtualDub and do a direct stream copy of the video and
audio into a new AVI file, this does read fine in Vegas
Capture, it doesn't crash, and it makes it to the camcorder
intact.
I think it's just something to do with the format of the
AVI file that Premiere creates. Is there a setting I can
fix in either program to make them work together? Thanks...
