Vegas Capture wont hear my pic

Vegas Capture will hear and record my speakers but i get no levels from my mic. The mic is set to default and works in every other program.

Have you got your sound device selected in the options Audio tab?

Yes all the defaults are correct. However in capture it does see my USB mic as headphones which is strange and maybe why it won't listen to it. Not sure how to remedy that though.
