Vegas capturing 3 frames late

I'm capturing HDV from a sony HC3 cam. HDVsplit has no problems capuring and scene splitting.

The Vegas capture however is scene splitting CONSISTENTLY 3 frames late.... any ideas??

Welcome to my world... At least that was in Vegas 7. I have not tried capturing in Vegas 8 but it does use the same vidcap program.

Are you doing this in 7 or 8?

Vgeas does not use Vidcap to capture HDV. Make certain you're using the right capture method.

Yes I know it's not vidcap... I tend to use the name though.

The version doesn't matter... the scene split in inaccurate in BOTH.

I tested the Vegas HDV scene split with my HV20 and it is consistently 4 frames late as compared to my sony HC3 which is 3 frames late.

Could this be camera related??
