Vegas Crash - Can Anyone Reproduce This?

TeeCee wrote on 6/13/2002, 2:00 PM
In Vegas Video 3 (any build), with a brand new project, with the Media Explorer visible, and Auto Preview off, browse to some sound files, right click on one at a time and choose Play Media.

When I do this, I get a crash. I may get one file to work once or twice, but then Vegas dies a horrible death. So far, Sonic Foundry tech support has not been able to reproduce this.

Please post your experiences,
TeeCee

TeeCee,

When you say browse, do you mean: Click on Import Media->Highlight Sound file in Import Media file dialog box and then choose Play Media? When I right click on any sound file, I don't have a "Play Media" command. I have a Play in WinAmp command, which works fine.

Update when you can.

Cheers,

Rock solid OK on mine - playing either with right-click or explorer toolbar 'play' .

Works good in mine also, no problems. Is there a particular type of file you're having problems with MP3,AIF, Wave, and what's the properties of the file type, sample rate and bit depth? Further describe and maybe some of us can repro.

Sorry for the delay. I've been in and out of town.

Standard audio file, 44.1 kHz, 24 bit wave file.
