Vegas crashes during loading plugins

I have the demo version of Vegas Video. It loaded properly
but when I try to run it, I get the dreaded blue screen of
death. I notice that Vegas Video is trying to load plug-
ins and then BOOM! its gone. I can come back to Windows
and there is a black box where the VV splash screen used to
be. I press CTRL-ALT-DEL and it shows VEGAS - Not
Responding. I have tried uninstalling it, rebooting,
reinstalling it with the same results everytime. So far, I
am not impressed to say the least! I have an Athalon
770Mhz CPU, 13 Gb Free disk space, 128 Mb ram and an ATI
All in wonder 128. Any suggestions??????

I have a similar problem except that it reboots the whole system while scaning for plugins as it opens. None of
my many other audio programs have any problems loading or using any of my plugins, only Vegas. If you look
down this forum you'll find others with similar problems relating to Vegas's plugin implementation and 2.0d
doesn't fix it. I don't think it will get fixed until SF admits that the problem exists.

Try to uninstall DX8 (with DXbuster) and reinstall DX7.
