Vegas crashes when using stabilization

I bought Vegas Pro 15 about 6 months ago, and about 4 months ago I used it to edit a 25 minute wedding video and had no issues whatsoever with it. Last week I wiped my computer and reinstalled Windows so my Vegas is a fresh install now.

However, today I started to edit a short video, and went to stabilize a shot (with VEGAS Stabilize), but when I played it, vegas immediately crashed. I've tried the same thing around 20 times now, but it crashes every time.

I even opened my project file from the wedding video I mentioned earlier, and had the same result: every clip that I'd used the stabilize on make vegas crash.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this issue? It seems like a codec sort of issue, but it seems like very strange behavior.

is your footage 4k? vegas 15 stabilize doesn't Support 4k, i had to upgrade to prodad Mercalli 4 to be able to stabilize 4k footage.

That is incorrect. VP15 indeed stabilize 4K fooatge just fine. My VP15 did that with no issues.

No, my footage is 1080p video taken on my phone. The wedding video I talked about was 1080p video taken on handycam and DSLR cameras.
