Vegas Edit 17 installation error

I just purchased the download version of VEGAS 17 Edit. (Version 17.0.0 [Build 421] is what shows on the installer) My problem is, when it gets just about to the end of the installation process, it gives me this error message:

Module C:\Program Files (x86)\VEGAS\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio_x64\sfppack1_x64.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel.

I've tried installing to the normal Program Files folder, and the Program Files (x86) folder. Both yield the same result. I tried redownloading the C++ 2008-2012 x86 redistributables, like other forums said to do, but it didn't help.

Any form of help with this is appreciated.

Dell G5 running Windows 10

Core i5 8th gen

GTX 1060 6gb
