Vegas Effects won't launch!

I've subscribed to Vegas Post 365 and installation went smoothly! Vegas 18 opens up correctly but when I try to launch Effects it tells me there is an unknown error. I tried to open it up as an standalone app also with and it started to open then crashed. Im trying to get a hold of customer support but that seems to just send you back to the community forum! Is anyone else having the same issues. I also have vegas 16 and 17 installed, could that be the problem? 32Gb ram 256SSD 9thgeneration i7 and GTX1070i

try to launch effects from within VEGAS by putting a video clip on the timeline, right clicking on it, and selecting "edit in VEGAS Effects". From there it should ask you to register the software, and hopefully it should work properly from that point on. If not, there may be some plugins installed on your system that are causing a conflict with it. Let us know how that works.

The problem was Boris continuum 2020! Once I uninstalled it Vegas Effects started working again! I wonder is this because both are able to work in 3D space? They may be bumping heads!

Sometimes the plugins need to be updated to ensure compatibility.

I have similar error. Sometimes Effects shows message dialog:
VegasEffects.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point cuvidGetDecodeStatus could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\FXHOME\VEGAS Effects\FXMediaNv.dll

I, too, have/had older versions of Vegas and whatnot. Was hoping that installing latest would either not care or take care of things. I cannot launch Vegas Effects stand-alone or from Vegas Pro 18
