Hey everyone. Just thought I'd share what I just experienced and let you all know what fixed it. I've been using VEGAS Effects for a while and all of a sudden one day it just wouldn't open. Immediately crash upon trying to load it. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling / deactivating/activating and nothing. Updated Windows. Updated GPU drivers. Nothing I COULD however hold Control+Shift while double clicking the icon and it would load but it wouldn't render anything. Gave an error saying it failed "Finished Project Unexpectedly". Lot's of Googling came up with nothing.

So I opened Windows Event Viewer and decided to see what was happening when this program crashed. Checked the Windows Application logs and saw VEGAS Effects logs there. Read the details and it turns out that it wouldn't load because it of my Boris Continuum Lights OFX plugins I had installed that came with VEGAS Pro 16 a couple years ago. So I promptly uninstalled that plugin and sure enough it loaded up no problem.Tried Exporting and successfully exported a project.

TL;DR - Checked Windows Event Viewer's Application Logs and noticed plugins were the cause of the error.
