I love Sony Vegas. It is far better than any software out there because it is intuitive, yet powerful. I'm pretty certain you all know this. But I hate Windows, and as a video passionist, it incredibly dishearting that I have to stick up with this absurdity of an operating system just because of Vegas. I have tried every tutorial, googled every possible way of installing it in WINE and it works. But the video preview is just a single colour based on the tint of the actual image. And everything else works. People have got the video preview working in wine so I think it may just be a driver issue For reference this is for Vegas Pro 8 and Movie Studio 9.0a, I tried both versions, they both work but the video preview issue. I don't see the Virtualbox method as suitable, as it won't take advantage of my graphics card or real hardware. I purchased Vegas Movie Studio 13 Platinum the other day, and if this is ported to Linux or some fix is available, I will buy the full Vegas Pro 14 suite in appreciation. And I'm certain that the Linux community will too, and it is a growing community, if this is a question about money. We want it more than Mac does. So please, consider this, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you!
