I have a new system with 256 ram P!!! with 800ram and an ibm 45gig desk
star. When I recorded 7 tracks at once everything seemed fine, but when
I play with the tracks afterwards there is about a 3-4 sec. delay when I
pan a track or add reverb or whatever. Wondering if anyone has any
thoughts. I've done some tweaking, but so far it doesn't change? Any help
would, well be helpful.

I don't have the awnser, but I just upgraded to Vegas Audio
and am experiencing the same problem. If I come across the
answer anywhere I'll post it here.

I'm afraid it's not a bug - it's a feature. Vegas was not
designed with totally realtime tweaking in mind. However,
when you render the final results, no matter how quirky
envelopes you have, the results should render OK.

Actually it's not advised to tweak some plugins' parameters
very extensively when playing back the project. Vegas may
crash.

We have had two installations of Vegas for the past two
years and have never had that problem with any version.
Sounds like a system dependent issue. You don't say what
you're using, but you will want to check your video card
and drivers for the latest, as well as your audio card and
drivers. Also tweak your playback buffers and video card
acceleration features with different settings to see if the
problem goes away. I would suspect an audio subsytem issue
first and foremost.
