We sorta had this discussion last year, I was in Stockholm a nearly 2 years ago teaching the folks at Nyetsmoron to use Vegas. (Good Morning Sweden for everyone else)
They wanted to use it to cut packages together, rather than the Newscutters they were using at the time. I believe they're now using a mix of FCP and Vegas. Lasse Gunnarssen, a fairly well known editor for them and the producer of a crime-reality show which name I forget, is a really big fan of Vegas as well. His production quarters recently moved from Stockholm to Varberg. I guess he wanted scenery.
Pretty cool that it's getting more attention over there. Iwas unaware it's being used for sports-related materials too. That's great!
