Vegas in XP or WinME

I am buying a new hard drive and have the choice to install WinXP or WinME. I have been running both on a different machine, and have all the drivers I need for my current hardware. Purely from an audio perspective, is there any compelling reason to choose one over the other?

I would recommend XP

a) It's a lot more stable than Win Me

b) NTFS permits file sizes > 4GB

Ditto. No contest. WinME was an interim OS meant only as a temporary update to Win98. WinXP is the newest in the *NICE* Windows NT line.

The stability of XP is amazing. I just switched from 98- no comparison. I've never used it, but I understand that Me is great... if you like "Bluescreens".
