vegas is popping up too much

I just put vegas on a new computer. As soon as i turn on my camera to add to the media pool, another vegas application pops up. of course i can close it out but it is very annoying. How can I change this?

Maybe if you start you camera before you plug it in. Also maybe: I think there is an option in Vegas' preferences that disallows several instances of the application.

You apparently told Windows to autostart Vegas when a camera was detected (when the screen popped up you said "always perform this action"). You need to turn this off. It's a WINDOWS setting - not a Vegas setting.
