Vegas LE bus and 24 bit files.

Hello All,

Quick question here since I couldn't find a definitive
anwer on line or in the manual.

I understand that I can't change the bit rate for new
projects or recordings in LE to 24 bit, but it appears that
I can open existing 24 bit files(assumption being that they
are remaining 24 bit once opened in LE).

My question: If I open a 24 bit file in Vegas LE and then
play it back routed out through my 24 bit soundcard will
the Vegas LE bus send it out as 16 bit or leave it at 24
bit?

Thanks. Disappointing but the good news is it means my
hearing is still good because I could hear the difference
in the 24 bit files sent from Cakewalk and the ones from LE.

I really like the Vegas interface and file management. It
seems more robust than Cakewalk for audio. Well, it looks
like I'm going to have to upgrade doesn't it?
