Vegas M.S. Platinum 11 Won't burn Bluray after Windows 10 Anniversary

Hi all, first time posting, as I am usually able to work these things out on my own.  I've been burning Blu rays without issues for a few years now.  Since the latest windows 10 update (AUG 2016). I am unable to burn to Blu ray from Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11 nor from DVD Architect 5.  Other programs such as Nero have no problem burning Blu rays.  I've tried checking and unchecking legacy drives in settings to no avail.  The PC was originally Windows 7, but had no problems for nearly a year after upgrading to Windows 10.  Problems started soon after Windows 10 Anniversary update.

Any suggestions?

If you upgraded your computer from Windows 7 or 8 to 10, you need to re-install all your Sony programs to make them work properly. The W10 upgrade process doesn't do a very good job at re-installing programs.
First thing you could try is to just reset the program by doing this:
Hold down the CTRL + SHIFT keys at the same time AND ALSO AT THE SAME TIME double click program icon on Desktop to Boot program.
Window will pop up.
Select Delete all Cached Application Data and then press Yes.
This will restore program to Factory Default Settings.

If that does not work, un-install programs, re-boot computer, then re-install programs.

*p.s this thread should have been posted in the Vegas Movie Studio forum, not News forum

My Thanks to Dr Zen, I followed these steps and it did indeed resolve my problem in Vegas Movie Studio.  I'll try it next in DVD Architect.

Did re-setting work or did you have to re-install?

Resetting worked for Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.  I did not have to reinstall  .  I haven't tried DVD architect yet
