The Mackie does not use MMC, but a private protocol.

MMC is not - in general - how external control surface implement their interfaces. MMC is more about locking two devices - i.e. tape records - to a common transport control - be it software or hardware.

I've asked the same question (controller support) several times without an answer.
If we only knew if they have plans for it, or trying to put it in a future version than I would be happy....but they don't say anything!
I must say they have asked the users what they want in future versions.
Maybe its time they come with a result and plans of that collection!!

Peter,
"Is that your final answer?" I don't believe that was your reply. You've totally side stepped the question on a technicality. Although, they might have not fully understood what they where asking for, we all know you did. MIDI CC control parameters.

Let me rephrase the original question a little, then feel free to post :-).

Does anyone here know if Vegas will ever support MIDI "CC control parameters"?

I love Vegas also and have been using it since v1.0. I've been asking for this feature since Vegas 2.0, only to see it miss v3.0 and v4.0 releases. I will be jumping ship if this feature does not get into the next versions of Vegas and also Acid. Hopefully, I won't have to go evaluating Nuendo, Sonar, and Samplitude to decide which ship I'm jumping too.

Red, you know as well as anyone else that we cannot pre-announce features or schedules or otherwise talk about what may or may not be in development.

When we can talk about new product revs, we'll notify these forums instantly... but until then we have to keep quiet.

I know SonicEPM, just wanted to call Peter on the sidestepping of the topic. You didn't notice I had my poker face on did ya? :-)

I didn't side step anything. I corrected a error in the original posters statement. (Don't like posts like this because they are misleading and cause bad information to float around.)

Don't take me to task on such nonsense with regard to what I believe your point is.

You know - better than anybody - we don't talk about new versions or new features. Why do I have to repeat myself endlessly in this regard. Wasn't it you that suggest users actually read the forum posts before they ask questions<g>?

I totally agree, it was good of you to correct the MMC statement because that will only lead to further confusion. Actually, it wasn't me who suggests they read the forum posts before asking. A lot of these posts are filled with misinformation, and I wouldn't refer anyone to unreliable information. I'm the one who suggests they read the owners manual before posting<g>. Happy Holidays.
