You could download the trial to check it meets your requirements, but seriously for the few extra dollars I'd go for Platinum not the basic version.

I'm currently contemplating whether I should choose platinum or not but I don't know, I feel like the extra things platinum offers is unnecessary for the video projects I have in mind.
