Vegas Movie 6.0 need effects

I have been using Vegas MOvie Studio 6.0 for a few years and would really like to get some additional effects (things like video countdowns, better transitions, better credits, etc). Any free software out there or even decent pay software add-ons for Vegas 6.0? Cannot seem to find anything when I search other than this site :)

The things you some up will cost you quite a few bucks if you look at secondary companies like newbluefx. But don't expect support for vms6. It is about time you upgraded to VMS9 (HD or Platinum), if you ask me. VMS6 has really become obsolete now.

I customise anything special I want using Blender ... an amazing product which is free. Version 2.5 has a host of improvements including a new UI.

Just another endorsement for blender. It does take a little while to learn, but once you get used to it you can do anything for which you'd otherwise use After Effects, Shake, Combustion. I'd especially recommend Roger Wickes book "Foundation Blender Compositing to get started.
