Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum Constantly Crashing and/or Freezing

George-Johnson wrote on 9/18/2020, 10:30 PM

I don't know if it happened to anyone else or just me. But on the Vegas Movie Stuidio 17 Platinum software, I noticed that my rendering process crashes the program completely. Sometimes, the crash happens when I'm just not doing much on the program. Is anyone else having this recent problem?

Not me, but for helping you we need information about your used hardware (CPU,GPU,Memory,Windows version), used sources, used rendertemplate and buildnr. of VMS 17Pl.

Yes, I am having the same problem with Movie Studio 17 crashing while rendering. In addition, it is taking 15 hours to render a 4 minute video. How soon will this problem be repaired? I am missing major deadlines. This is extremely frustrating.

My computer specs:

Windows 10

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz

Installed RAM 64.0 GB

System type - 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

ASUD - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card

Can we roll back to previous version?

Im using an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 Ghz, 32 Gb of RAM on a 64 bit Processing System.

I definitely understand. I have a podcast that's due TONIGHT! and this is the WORST TIME this could happen.

Intel Core i5 9400 2.9GHz 32Gb Ram win 10 64 bit and MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8GB OC GDDR5 Graphics Card. Set up like this video but still quality is bad and crashed about 5 times preparing video before rendering.

Same here just updated a few days ago and ever since it's been an unstable mess. Freezes, hangs and crashes all the time.

j-v wrote on 9/19/2020, 10:14 AM

@George-Johnson Therefore I have 4 possible templates under Magix AVC and Sony AVC(an old one), I asked you which one.
