Sony has occasionally offered some crossgrades. I got into ACID Pro very cheaply with a crossgrade offer from Sound Forge. I haven't noticed any such offers recently.

If you want a definitive answer you should contact customer support. The users in this forum and only offer anecdotal advice, such as i have.
