vegas movie studio platinum has stopped working

When opening a M2TS project which was basically finished I got this send error report and even though the project seems to open on my screen but I cannot do anything to it. I did send the report bur what now?? Do I have to recreate the whole project? Basically I have a hung computer situation that I don't know how to deal with. Please ..give me a solution so I don't have to go right to the start again. I have a quad core i7 system with loads of memory and had no trouble whatsoever editing the project.

Yup same here. After the last update I cant even start Vegas without it instantly crashing.

I know it's not much help to you guys but now, whenever I upgrade to a new build, I always create a restore point before I upgrade. Your problem has happened to me once before and it won't happen again!

I did not upgrade to MS 11 platinum..I am still using MS platinum 10 . This problem appeared when I opened the project to work further on it!
