Vegas MS - Crashes on Surface Studio PC. 8+ tries today.

I got a new Surface Studio (great PC!) running Windows 10 "insider build" (latest Fall Creators Update) but I can't get Movie Studio 14 platinum to render movies successfully. I've tried 8 different renders.. and only 1 has worked.

It gets varying percentages through the render and then it crashes. I've noticed that it ALSO will just crash just sitting there, even without rendering, so it's possible this isn't specific to the rendering and is just a certain amount of time/random crash occurrence. I've tried...

- two different VF projects (one longer, one pretty short)

- 3 different codecs: Sony AVC MPG4, Mainconcept MP4, WMV

- different output sizes (1080p, 720p)

- was on build 105, updated to build 112 .. still hitting the same problem.

I looked for an option to turn off "GPU rendering" (saw that in threads here) -- but couldn't find that exact option. In preferences...
[ ] Allow legacy GPU rendering <-- this is off.

GPU acceleration of video processing [ off] <-- off is the only option

Any help or advice? I've submitted the bug report/log each time ... maybe 9 or so of them today.

thx

Good catch! Mistyped -- build 122. The latest I could find on Magix site.

The PC is totally up to date. (in fact ... the OS is newer than up-to-date since it's on an insider build) I just double-checked the graphics driver (it's a GeForce GTX 980M) and the surface firmware are both already the latest.

Actually -- bit more info -- after a reboot (post-122 install) it appears to not be crashing right now. So.. less time pressure for sure, I've been able to render my two videos. In fact, maybe this has fixed itself... thx
