Vegas - Nero Conflict

I just bought an ASUS 0804 DVD-RW, and upgraded my Nero with the OEM 6.3.0.0 supplied, which self upgraded to 6.3.1.6 on install.

First, the darn thing tried to associate itself with all my media files. And now, when I try and load a Vegas work-in-progress, Vegas does not "see" any of my media (audio and video) on my HDD.

I used to love Nero - the CD-RW version I had was the ducks nuts - but this is just ridiculous.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Maybe you could try and install an older copy of Nero like 5.0+ instead. It still gives DVD and CD support. I have version 5 without any problems.

I have Nero 6.3.1.6 installed in parallel with Vegas4. No issues.

Problem solved.

I un-installed Nero, re-installed 5.5.8.0 then upgraded it thru the Nero site to 5.X.X.X to a version that supports DVD burning (good riddence to Nero 6.0's interface!).

The an un-install/re-install of Vegas 4 had everything back to normal, and my last four weeks of edting back and loaded.
