vegas not recognizing quicktime

original 30 sec quicktime movie mov. file plays back fine when imported from explorer to track area in Acid Pro 7, but Vegas 5.0 will only import and recognize the audio portion of the file when I try to move it from the explorer window onto the track area......original file plays fine in quicktime, and windows media player ......is there a plugin for Vegas 5.0 ??? audio portion is 44,000Hz 16 bit, stereo MPEG-4 AUDIO.....the video portion just states "stream attributes could not be determined.. quicktime player version 7.5(861) is installed on my computer as well...
any help or suggestions appreciated...... thanks in advance....

My first suggestion, as long as you're not running iTunes, is to roll back to an earlier version of QT such as 7.6.2
QuickTimeInstaller.exe
The other suggestion is to see if the SCS Knowledgebase article titled MPEG-4 audio is no longer functional is applicable.

I am having the same problem here. Anything .mov has a problem in my vegas timeline. I drag it to the time line and all it shows is the audio track.
Vegas 8.0c
QT version 7.65.17
Windows XP SP2

ANy idea how to fix this yet?

Yep, Quicktime 7.6.2 cured all my Quicktime ills. I'm staying put riiight there.
