Can (and how) is it possible legally to install Vegas Pro 8 on both my PC and my Laptop ?

I got this from the SONY KB - which as it happens is an absolute goldmine of information. All I did was enter the words: Legal Two Machines

it's not that complicated. You can install it on 34256 machines if you like ,as long as you will be using them one at a time. In other words, you can use any of those machines at any time, but you cannot have another person/s working on another one with you ( at the same time), because then you are ( sort of ) using 2 licenses simultaneously ( and you only own one ). And I guess, you cannot combine these in some kind of a render farm, because that would also, be using more than one machine at the same time.

Then how would you "network" render if you aren't using more than one machine at a time?

P. 321 of the Vegas 8 manual says:

You can install Vegas pro software as a render-only client on two computers for each Vegas Pro license you purchase. However, certain file formats, such as MPEG-2, AC-3 and MP-3 cannot be used on render-only clients.
