It ONLY supports 2 resolutions- native 2560 x 1600, and exactly 1/2 that interpolated 1280 x 800. A Dual-Link DVI card is REQUIRED to support the native 2560 x 1600.
It's a Biomorph Level 3, 72". www.BioMorphDesk.com
It's 72" wide, two surfaces, both crank adjustable height from sitting all the way up to a standing workstation. I alternate between standing and sitting while editing. Standing while editing may seem foreign to some but it's really a great experience. You don't fatigue as easily (ironly enough) and there's no problems with circulation/etc. Supposedly Cold Mountain was edited entirely standing up.
Cool idea. I think better (which isn't saying much) when I stand. Walter Murch said he took his first Avid system put on apple crates to raise the desk so he could edit while standing like he was used to with his 35mm flatbeds.
I've been using a dell 24" for over a year. Just got the 30". It's big. No doubt. Just make sure the smaller dot pitch isn't going to cause problems (0.22mm). I find it harder to work on it for long periods of time. The 24" doesn't cause as much eye strain IMHO.

The only eyestrain I encountered was when I had the brightness a bit too high. You have to turn it down a notch for such a large panel. Text can indeed be small and I've juggled with making the fonts larger but always seem to go back to the default.
IMHO, the screen realestate is overshadows many "considered" short-comings. That said the 24" is a FANTASIC monitor. I sold mine soley due to the fact I didn't have any space left for it.
How is it that you guys get to have the monitor inside Vegas in top right??? Is that a feature of Vegas 6 (i'm still on 5)? The only way for me to do it is to pul the app half way down the screen and put the monitor as separate window in top right...
Patrick,
You need to get to the 'internal' preference settings to do that. A word of caution - they're hidden for a reason. Modify at your own risk.
Having said that, open 'Options'. Hold 'Shift' then 'Preferences'. You'll now see an 'Internal' tab. Select it. In the 'Show only prefs containing:' box, type 'top'.
Now set 'Frame dock at the top' to 'TRUE' - default is set to 'FALSE'. Now when you resize the timeline window by dragging top edge down, you'll reveal the others.
