Vegas on a NetBook Intel Atom 280 ???

Anyone try this yet: Can you run (not render necessarily) Vegas Movie Studio or Vegas on a 1.66Ghz Intel Atom processor based netbook ?
Can you do editing with, for example, a 7200rpm usb drive and then take the drive to your main desktop for rendering ?

Also, any other general comments about Asus Eee PC EPC 1000HE would be appreciated.

Thanks

Processor type is not mentioned, just speed. As such, you should be fine for SD video, both editing and rendering.

Download the free trial and try it.

What is the screen resolution? I think the screen will be cramped. You should try by putting your present screen in the netbook's resolution and see if it is workable.

Good point ....seems like it has a 1024 x 600 screen. It's not one of the tiny units .. it souldn't be too bad.

Yes - no problem in that.

And: you can have more instances of VMS installed on different machines - but only use one of them at a time (as far as I remember, that is)
