I'd check the EULA, just in case. They added in Vegas 6 that you can't use the MP3 plugin for commercial purposes (which wasn't in previous versions) so I'd just double check.
Could someone from Sony chime in on this? I noticed that the second computer (laptop) provision was not explicitly in the Vegas 6 EULA. I need to know if I'm still legal to have it installed in on two machines but only use one at a time. Is your license to Vegas 5 or 4 deactivated when you upgrade that copy to Vegas 6? I thought it was, but someone brought this up a little while ago and I didn't see an answer.
Does this mean then that, since I can have Vegas INSTALLED on two PCs at the same time but not RUN at the same time, is it legal to run Vegas on PC1 while PC2 is turned off, then turn off PC1 and run Vegas on PC2?
same EULA as before. You can install it on as many computers as you OWN but only use it on 1 comp at a time.
It's been stated before that an upgrade isn't an upgrade liscence, it's a new liscence at a reduced price, so your old version is sitll a seperate program.
You need to purchase more licences if you plan on using Vegas on more than one machine at the same time.
I had Acid Pro 3 installed on my home PC and my work PC at the same time with SoFo's blessing. Sony still does this.
Also, I have Acid Pro 5.0, but my AP 4.0, AP 3.0, Acid Rock 2.0 are still available for me to use.
Same with my Sound Forge 6.0 now that I have SF 8.0.
