Vegas Platnum 9

New to software:
When I preview a video I make it looks great but as soon as I save it to my hard drive it loses crispness the text pixilates.
I have tried to save in .mov & .wmv

Welcome to the wonderful world of video editing!

You should post your question in the forum for Vegas Movie Studio, as that is the software that you own. They should be able to help you there.
