For the last 3-4 months I've been trying to solve a problem of plug-in conflicts causing Vegas to crash and reboot my system
every time it scans for plug-ins which started happening after I installed Antares AutoTune. Up until yesterday I'd had no
success and neither SF nor Antares was able to duplicate the problem or suggest any solutions.
Thanks to a friend who created a great little DX disabler/re-enabler I've found what the Antares plugs are conflicting with -
Alien Connections Revalver and fxpansion's VST-DX adapter. Vegas will allow any combination of any 2 of these but not all
3. With all 3 it crashes on opening every time and reboots my system.
The fact that these plug-ins co-exist peacefully in any program except Vegas might be because Vegas chains plug-ins. But
anyway, now I am finally able to use Vegas with any plug-in combination thanks to my friend's plug-in utility, DrDx. If anyone
else would like a copy (it's free), let me know.
I'm posting this info here in case it's of use to other Vegas users or to SF.
