Vegas Pro 10 .. Quicktime version?

Sorry, I searched but guess I don't know the correct search terms.

My latest version of Vegas Pro is 10
My laptop HD died and I didn't have a backup :-(
Re-installing as many of my programs as I can find.
What version of Quicktime should I install ... and where can I find it?

The Release Notes for Vegas Pro 10.0e recommends Apple® QuickTime® 7.1.6 or later. So I would say that 7.1.6 is safe.

Vegas Pro 10.0e was released on July 5, 2011 and the latest version of QuickTime at that time was QuickTime 7.6.9 released on Dec 7, 2010.

Having said all that... I have Vegas Pro 10.0e working fine on Windows 7 64-bit with the latest QuickTime 7.7.5 ;-)

7.6.x is known as a fallback option and "should" work fine. I use it on VP8.
7.7.1 has been reported to work well with Vegas Pro 10.
7.7.4 is reported to be stable with 12 and 13.
