VEGAS PRO 11 FREE TRIAL

Hello everyoneyeah it's me again, 'cause i couldn'tget the information i need even sony couldn't give me the answer i expected.
I'm using sony vegas hd 11 build 35 and i see i cannot masking, height map, and more, also i know if i upgrade to vegas pro 11 i'll have everything i need, so one of the system requirements says: " Supported NVIDIA or ATI cards for GPU-acceleration " this is my problem due i'm using a laptop intel core i3 hd graphic, windows 7 64-bit, 2.40 GHz, 500 gb memory and 4 gb ram, also i when deep into my laptop system and there's nothing about ati or nvidia. CAN I STILL UPGRADE TO VEGAS PRO 11 ? AND PLEASE GIMME EXAMPLES OF WHAT CAN HAPPEN WITHOUT THESE ATI OR NVIDIA CARDS. THANKS TO ANYONE WHO ANSWER MY QUESTION, THANKS.
I was thinking what would happen if i download the free trial of vegas pro 11 in my laptop knowing i have already sony vegas hd 11 build 35? my real software modify itself to pro 11? and what happen i don't want vegas pro due to ati or nvidia cards and eliminate it? i'll erase my vegas hd 11 too ?

Vegas has never needed any particular video card. It will run fine without any sort of GPU at all. The only problem at all is that you won't get the extra rendering and preview boost that a powerful accepted GPU might give you, but everything will still run. In fact, a lot of folks have posted that enabling GPU support actually slowed things down for them.
