Vegas Pro 12 & Sound Forge 10.0 issue

I can't get SF 10.0 to open when I am editing in Vegas Pro 12.
64 bit Win 7 with 32 G Ram Quad system
I can open SF 10.0- and find the audio file in the computer and edit it. ... Save it and it changes in Vegas Pro 12 when I go back to editing.
I have the current updates on both programs but it gives me an error message ...
"an error occured during the current operation. Some streams in the media file could not be opened."
That message comes up after almost every function or oration I do during editing. When I open to edit I get a message about missing files. I choose the "ignore" choice and the program opens.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. This is taking FOREVER to edit.

- What file format? Video w/ embedded audio? Audio only?
- Right-click the audio event, is Open/Copy in SF listed? If not, make SF the default audio editor.

"Some streams in the media file could not be opened."
Is that a SF or VP error?

Rraud asked for the file format.
We don't know what "JVC HD cam" means. It's NOT a file format.
Sound Forge doesn't open every video format.
Download MediaInfo and list the file properties.
