Vegas Pro 12 upgrade offer ends Oct. 31

I waited to see if Sony was ever going to send me an upgrade offer for Vegas 12. Today, I received my first invite to the upgrade offer as it was bundled in with the webinar that is happening on Thursday. I see where they claim that the upgrade pricing is going to end October 31.

Isn't this what they have done in the past? Claim it will end and then extend. I haven't had sufficient time to really test the product.

Well, I want to upgrade, I'm tempted to upgrade... but seems too many bugs are being reported!

What say you who have bought version 12? Worth it from V10? I see a few usability niceties, but even without V12 bug reports I'm not sure the additions are worth $140 bones for the home desktop enthusiast.

Comments requested.

I upgraded from 10 to 12. I'm very happy with it. It is stable, probably on par with VP10, and it feels faster, too. for my needs. I don't render to MP4, so I don't benefit from GPU renders, but time line performance is better.

I think the enhancements are very handy; though small, they are considered, and do speed up the editing process for me.

NBT is now running stable, and it produces some very good titles.

Be warned since upgrading from Vegas 11 to 12 most of my NewBlue pluggins are showing as watermarked trail versions.

Not only in Vegas 12 but also Vegas 11, Movie Studio and Premiere 5.5 !!!!!.

No imputing of mine or Sony's subsequently supplied serial numbers is curing this fault and customer service are being very slow and unhelpful.
