Vegas Pro 14/16 doesn't show 2080 ti in GPU acceleration -help

How come Vegas Pro 14 (and Vegas Pro 16 trial version) doesn't recognize my 2080 ti? I'm currently using an Alienware 15r2 laptop with an external graphics amplifier until I complete my desktop. I've used an RX580 with no problems using my current graphics amp setup, so does anyone know why my new graphics card isn't showing up in GPU acceleration of video processing under preferences?

Which drivers are installed for that card?

As of right now, I have the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver: Version 416.94, which was released on 11.13.2018.

To me nothing wrong.
Is the card showing up in Windows Device Manager/Display Adapter?

Yea, I've used it for gaming with no problem. I have no idea why it's not showing up.

Edit: A panorama program called Autopano Pro v. 4.4.2 uses the 2080 ti with no problems, so I'm thinking this might be VP16 related.
