It won't go past "creating factory video plug-in", then freezes and goes to the error window. HELP!!

How about you tell us what the error window says, what kind of computer you have, how much memory, what version of Windows, what GPU, what kind of plug-ins you have installed, etc.

The error message is "VEGAS Pro has stopped working". I've also tried opening the program with "run as administrator"...same issue. I'm running Windows 10 on an HP desktop, Intel Core i7, 12.0 GB RAM, 64Bit OS, I have New Blue FX, Magic Bullet.

Try first by uninstalling all your plugins, reboot your computer and launch Vegas.

You can also follow the advice on this post, point 8.

Great, thanks! I'll try that. Appreciate your response/assistance.

And if uninstalling all your plug-ins solves the problem, start installing them one at a time and, after each reinstall, check if everything is still working. If reinstalling a specific plug-in causes Vegas to crash again, you’ll know it is that particular plug-in causing the problem.
