Yes. Keyframe the effects. You will have experiment a little to get the precise look you want, but in principle do a quick fade in with (for example) keyframed linear blur (from very blurry to zero) and maybe a keyframed brightness or levels, colour corrector, etc.

Create or import your image, text or gif or whatever you'd use to create that logo, stretch it across the timeline. Drag out the left edge for the desire amount of time (doesn't have to be precise right now).

In your newly created event on your timeline, clik the pan crop icon (right corner of event) to open your Pan/Crop editor window (this is also your event effects interface window at the same time - you edit one or the other alternately without closing the window, just change tabs.).

in the opened pan crop editor window, (make sure you're at frame 1) pull in diagonally one of the corner point in the Pan/Crop (which will make your image larger) at frame one, check image in your monitor. Now, add another keyframe point halfway across your timeline (inside the P/C window), or, if you don't know how yet, just move your cursor half way across, now, right clik on the pan/crop work area and set to "restore" which will bring your image back to normal, or original size. it will also automatically create a new keyframe point below on your timeline.

Now, you have the zoom going, or close,

Go now and choose a FX, (no need to close Pan/Crop) In P/C editor window, it's at the top right, green fx icon. Clik on that, and that will open up your fx options, inside the Vegas folder, go to the "Blur" sub folder and inside that folder select (click on) Linear Blur (or try the others if this doesn't work) and clik the 'add' button on the right, then ok - that will get you back to your editor.

Now, set cursor back to frame 1, and clik on the Linear Blur box at the top to open if it is not open already, adjust (just a little will do) the amount slider, adjust angle if need be, (don't think so) -- now, qickly return to the Pan/crop (select P/C box at top left) move to that same middle point you made earlier on your P/C timeline put your cursor dead on that point, (looks like a diamond).

Now select the linear blur box again,

Now, Click on you fx animation buttons (small clocks with green plus signs) clik them both and they turn red.

and set the blur fx back to the zero point, drag the two sliders all the way to left and you're done,

adjust to taste (amount of blur angle) for speed adjust, just change the position of the middle points on the timeline by dragging. You have to drag the pan crop and the the fx points seperately, They should pretty much line up for your timing.

Best teacher out there, Andrew Devis:

You may need a black (or other) background to your image, and also a Chroma Keyer to have the background show through behind your Logo, see Andrew Devis for those subjects as well. Media generator for the black on it's own separate track underneath your logo track, add chroma keyer fx to logo event.

I managed to do it using a size pan/crop and a radial blur following the first two responses. Thanks so much!!

You are quite welcome. Post it here, let's see the result.
