My System: AMD FX 8350 8 core processor 4.0Ghz with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 64 bit, Windows 10 OS
Problem: Before upgrading from Pro15 to Pro16 I had loaded a long concert footage and split clips of each song to put on individual tracks, totaling about 14 or so tracks. I saved this as a .veg file so I had all in one place. I later was able to open the (ALL CLIPS).veg file and delete all but one of the tracks (Audio + Video) so I could save that track file under its own .veg name (intent is to open these .veg files later and render them in preferred formats). This was working fine on about 3 or 4 Tracks/tunes successfully.
As I upgraded to Pro16, I was able to complete this task 5 or 6 more times successfully and now it doesn't cooperate at all. now, when load the main .veg file, I notice that there is no video preview and the random picture frames in the track view do not appear, only a solid blue color on the video track. As well, if I even do a small task now, like delete a marker or simply hit 'Play', Vegas goes into Not Responding mode and freezes. I have to shut the program down and restart only to visit the same problem continuously. I've tried deleting half of the tracks and saving the file .veg so that it is smaller, but no luck. Now, even reloading the main .mp4 file to re-cut some clips is not responding. I don't know what happened here.??? One note I should make is that I had Pro 15 running on a Windows 7 system and I recently upgraded to my current system. I don't think that makes a big difference as I've been performing these functions on the new system. Any Suggestions? Can someone please help?
