Vegas pro 16 seems to be working very smoothly with my system, even when editing ProRes 4:4:4:4 200fps 4K footages, however it struggles and freezes for around 30 seconds or so when I search for plugins for the first time, but after that it works fine. However, if I restart Vegas Pro and try to search for plugins, the same problem happens again, but only in the first time!
Any idea how to solve this problem?
Plugin search is something that has been slow in Vegas for a long time... they're working on it.

By typing in the name in the Plugin Search box. Is there other way?
If you click on All and expand all the plugins and then type outside of the search box the initials of the plugin you are looking for, vegas will find it super fast.
When I use the search box, the FX appears at the top about as fast as I can type!

aboammar and Kinvermark ,,, Yep. I see the lag first time in VP16 --- no lag after that.
Joelson-Forte .. Your suggestion works as a work around .. but still leaves the search box method mysteriously slow on the first try.

If so, yes. When I type the 2nd 'a' in stabilization, VEGAS Video Stabilization is at the top, first time, every time, no delay. Also, the same with VP13 and VP15.

I meant when you first start VP and you try to search plugin for the first time, when you type in the first letter, don't you face a lag problem?

Here too the delay occurs only on the first search. But the way I use it, I do not even need to use the search box.
