Vegas Pro 17 changes my source framerate

Okay so I've scoured the Internet about this but can never find a conclusive answer...

I recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 17, and it now detects my 23.976 fps footage as 25.000 fps.

Now, I had this issue before, but somehow it ended up fixing itself, or I did something that made it go back to the normal framerate. But now that I got a new computer, it's happening again. I heard that apparently this can happen if your footage is variable framerate, which mine is. But I just don't know what fixed it before, and why it's changed again. Does anyone have any clue how to make it register as 23.976 framerate?? Thanks!

Also, I'd like to add that back when Vegas read the footage as 23.976, it played very smoothly when rendered. But now that it's seeing it as 25.000 fps, even with the project settings matching, it makes the video kind of choppy. It's very frustrating :/ And I really don't want to have to convert all my footage to CFR.

NEVERMIND! I actually remembered how to fix it, so I'm going to put the answer here for anyone else who's having a similar issue. All you do is go to Options, then hold Shift and click Preferences. Go to the Internal tab and type 'so4', then set 'Enable So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS' to FALSE. That takes care of the problem!
