Vegas Pro 17 Hangs almost constantly

I don't know what is wrong with my Vegas pro 17 but for some reason every time i open a project, zoom timeline while a clip is playing, undo, make any changes my Vegas pro hangs and starts to fully use half of my cores.

It just sits there for 1-4 minutes and then continues like normal.

This didn't happen in vp16, any idea what could it be?

Edit. Great.. now my project that i just finished crashed during render and wont open anymore.

It hangs the second it loads the project and normally when i waited for a bit it would resume to be operational but now after a while processor usage goes to 0% and the program is fully dead

Go to Preferences>Video> and set "thumbnails to show in video events" to either off or a setting that will require it to draw fewer thumbs. There is a bug in 17 with thumbnail loading that has affected a lot of people, the team is aware of it and is working on it. This will get you working again until they can address the issue.

Thank you so much! This worked and the hanging stopped.
