VEGAS PRO 17 problem with adding mp4 file to project media

Hi everybody,

maybe someone had similar problem and searched solution.

In VEGAS PRO 17 I noticed problem with adding mp4 file to project media. This problem doesn’t exist in VEGAS PRO 16. I resolved this when I change so4compoundplug.dll which exist in VP 17 for older one which exist in VP 16. Path for this file in my computer is:

for VEGAS Pro 17: C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 17.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\so4compoundplug

for VEGAS Pro 16: C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 16.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\so4compoundplug

then I cleaned registry and everything works ok.

Maybe someone had a similar problem or is it a known problem and has a different solution? Unfortunately I did not find it on the form :(

Configuration on my host is:

- Windows 10

- VP 17 Build 421

- VP 16 Build 424

- CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X 8 Core

- RAM: 64GB

- GPU: Radeon 580 Series 8GB

- HDD: SSD WD 1TB

the problem also applies to MOV files.

I did not know they were different, but you are wright, they are a little different, good to know. Thanks for your message. Im a laucky who had never problems with those plugins.
