It's been years since I used VP for anything, I downloaded the trial of 17 today just to play around with it and think about trying out 365. The program has already been verified with my trial serial number and prompts me to "test product" before running the launch UI.

It will run the initializing bar and simply close once it reaches "initializing UI". I am not seeing a crash pop-up. Following older threads, I have already reinstalled Visual C++ Redistributable 2017, and tried running .net framework repair, although when i tried to download the installer to simply repair existing .net framework I simply got an error saying it would not redownload 4.8 as it was already installed on this computer.

I am not tech savvy, and I have no idea why the simple trial product won't even launch. I'm using a 2018 HP Pavilion with an i7 intel processor running Windows 10. My 1TB hard drive has over 800gb to spare. I've restarted my computer several times as well. Any advice for getting this thing to run would be greatly appreciated.
