Vegas Pro 18 build 527 Missing (2.5 frames) Audio on end of each clip

Richard-Green wrote on 7/13/2021, 2:38 PM

Hi, I am editing GoPro footage 1080p @ 60fps. I've just noticed that when I load the clips onto the timeline that at the end of each clip there is no audio on the last three frames which results in an audio dropout, which is noticeable when being played back after rendering and during playback on the timeline. There is nothing wrong with the clips which load perfectly into Adobe Premiere.

See attached screen grab.

I see the same with me, only 2 frames, but I have old ears and old eyes, so hear nor see nothing strange by playing the files behind each other or cut my 2 frames off before joining.

I'm pleased that I'm not the only one. It doesn't affect the video, so nothing to see. The dropout can be heard easily depending on the content of the audio track. I can remove it by cutting 2 frames from the end of each clip and that doesn't adversely affect the video. But, I shouldn't have to do this, and Adobe premiere doesn't do it, so an obvious bug or possibly a setting.

If this minor thing in Adobe does not show up, why using Vegas for that kind of files????

Because It's not my Adobe Premiere, belongs to a friend of mine. It's not minor to me. The files are just mp4 files from a Gopro Hero 8, nothing out of the ordinary.
